POSITION OVERVIEW:
Site Supervisor
FACES SF (Family and Child Empowerment Services) provides high-quality childcare for low-income families; job support, training, and placement for adults; and comprehensive family support services and referrals. Our mission is to serve the needs and well-being of San Francisco’s young children and empower families to become self-sufficient. We are seeking a talented, positive Site Supervisor for our Masonic Preschool location. This is an exempt role and reports to the Child Development Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Management
Responsible for supervising, training, and evaluating staff
Coordinate/support staff development training, workshops, and staff requirements
Directly supervises volunteers while on site
Monitors staff schedules, timesheets, vacation and leave time
Builds teamwork and facilitates a cooperative environment with staff
Children
Supervises all children’s safety at the center
Maintains and updates necessary documentation for all the children and families at the center
Works with staff to identify and address the exceptional needs of children
ProgramResponsible for day to day operations of the center
Monitors and assists in developing, planning, and implementing classroom environment and curricular standards
Responsible for monitoring and following through on required assessments and screenings (i.e. ITERS, ECERS, DRDP’s, ASQ’s)
Family/Community Relationship
Maintains positive relationships with parents/guardians and respects their culture
Works to address parent issues when difficulties arise
Works effectively and appropriately with other FACES SF employees and programs (i.e. fiscal, enrollment, family support)
Works in partnership with other organizations, consultants, and professionals
Compliance
Oversees program documentation and reports
Responsible for full compliance of service contracts
Responsible to meet state Community Care Licensing requirements, federal, local, and CDC guidelines and regulations (including Title 5 and Title 22)
Professionalism
Attends required meetings/training
Remains flexible about staffing schedules
Conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times
Is flexible if reassigned to another site
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possess, or qualified for the California Child Development Site Supervisor permit
Two (2) + years of classroom experience in an ECE setting
Experience with State or Federally funded child care programs preferred
Able to lift fifty (50) pounds
Ability to go up and downstairs with no limitations
Must be in good health and able to pass a physical exam
Demonstrates the ability to meet required state, federal, local, and CDC standards (including but not limited to fingerprinting clearance, negative TB test, First Aid/CPR)
Bilingual skills a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skilled in presentation and written communication; ability to facilitate outcome reporting to senior leadership
Knowledge of and connections to San Francisco area businesses, job-related government programs, and community services for low-income families
Well organized and flexible; detail-oriented with the ability to think and plan strategically
Understands the special social/employment needs of diverse groups with the ability to adapt materials/services to address these needs. Cultural competency in working effectively. Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations, and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all
