Overview
FACES SF serves San Francisco communities through three channels: child development, family support services and workforce development. All three programs work together, providing a holistic approach to empowering the communities that we serve. Our child development program provides subsidized early childhood education at three locations throughout the city: Haight Ashbury, Western Addition, and Bayview Hunters Point. In addition, FACES SF manages a network of over 50 licensed, in-home child care providers in San Francisco. Our family support program is a crucial component in the holistic nature of our organization. The program provides mental health services, support groups, and parent educational workshops across all our child development locations. FACES SF staff also assists families by providing referrals and connecting them to available community resources. Program activities are tailored to the unique strengths, needs, and wants of families. Finally, FACES SF offers a community-based workforce program in San Francisco through a combination of education, barrier-removal, referral, job readiness and placement, and supportive services. Our program is located in “The Village,” a community facility located in Visitacion Valley. Our objective is to enable all San Francisco residents to reach economic stability and an improved quality of life.
