AFTER SCHOOL & SUMMER CAMP

Overview

With so many demands on today’s families, our after school program provides a safe, structured, and well-rounded academic learning environment for TK-6th grade children. Our qualified educators provide a fun, hands on curriculum emphasizing critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity. The program is located at our beautiful child development campus in Bayview Hunters Point and offers year-round services providing before, after, and summer school options, which meet our families demanding schedules. Our after-school program collaborates with parents, guardians, and schools to build a strong support system for our youth in the Bayview Hunters Point community. Contact us to enroll now.

Curriculum

Our curriculum ensures a nurturing and empowering after school program for all students. The program offers academic support based on Common Core Standards along with daily enrichment activities that provide the students with the social currency necessary to succeed in today’s society. It is the aim of FACES SF to provide guidance in all facets of students’ lives, not just academia.

Summer Camp at FACES

This year, BASECAMP’s Summer of Adventure will be a summer full of opportunities for exploration and fun all around the Bay Area. The theme for Summer of Adventure is based on the Disney Pixar movie Up. Our slogan, “Adventure is out there!” encourages the students to be open to the many activities we have in store this summer. Each month will have its own theme, including Exploring the Outdoors, Water World, and Fair Well. Each field trip we take, will not only reflect the theme of the month but will also be an opportunity  for children to participate in learning enrichment activities in and out of the classroom. We have trips planned to the Oakland Zoo, Muir Woods, Fortune Cookie Factory, Sonoma Train Town, Angel Island, and more. We’ll also be joined by specialists such as a beats music teacher, art teachers, soccer coaches, Capoeira instructor, and our wonderful gardening teacher to allow students to learn a new skill over the summer.
